The Glossary of Terms that follows was determined not to be part of the By-Laws but is offered for the purposes of clarification.
Glossary of Terms
For the purposes of the Web PATH Center By-Laws these terms are defined as follows:
General Member: A general member is a person who has attended one or more rituals, events or classes, or who is on the WebNotes mailing list, unless that individual has requested not to be considered a general member or has become a voting member.
Voting Member: A voting member is a person who has joined the Web during the membership drive and paid the dues set at $1.
Trustees: Trustees are voting members elected by the voting membership to serve a term on the Council of Trustees, or who are appointed to the Council of Trustees to fill out a former Trustee's term.
Executive Committee: The Executive Committee consists of the officers of the Council of Trustees plus the past Chair.
Delegates: Delegates are individuals appointed by the Council to perform voluntary functions of management, programming, development and related tasks such as keeping the library, keeping historical records, specific fundraising projects, grant writing, etc. They include ritualists and teachers. (See article IV Section 1)
Ritualists: Ritualists are individuals trained by the Web and who are usually responsible for developing and conducting sabbat, esabat, and other official community celebrations. Because this is a spiritual office of trust, these ceremonies are not routinely subject to Council review or approval. However, scheduling and calendaring these events should be worked out cooperatively with the Trustees.
Addendum not presented to the Council:
Majority Votes: Whether a majority is 51%, two-thirds or three-fourths, the Council recognizes a person cannot be divided into parts even in the case of a Gemini, and so the fraction will be rounded up to the nearest whole number.
