Foods That Can Help You Survive Breast Cancer

Good news! Postmenopausal women with breast cancer who ate a diet high in lignans--plant compounds found in seeds, whole grains, vegetables and fruits (particularly dark bread, broccoli, winter squash, oranges, peaches, strawberries, coffee and tea)--were 70 percent less likely to die from the disease than ailing women who didn't, according to researchers at the University of Buffalo and Roswell Park Cancer Institute, both in New York.
