Zebra Tales is a new place for Kids to go to read about the exciting adventures of a zebra who travels the world, meeting children, and other animals, and reading childrens books.  She shares her adventures and poems from time to time.  She loves to read, and says it is important to read as much as possible.  There are so many good things to read!  She wants most of all to feel the same as all other animals, though she looks much different with her stripes and sticky up mane.  That is why she likes traveling the world and seeing all different kinds of animals and children.  She found this poem in her book on her travels, and she wants to share it with you.

All our little boys and girls wonder how ‘t would be

if they lived in other lands, across some distant sea;

and over there, in ev’ry land, the children say:  “Oh Dear!

How do the children look and play around the world from here?”

And as we beckon eastward, and call them from the west,

And shout:  “Hello!  Come over!  Our playground is the best!”

The little northern children come skating on their skies;

Up troop the merry youngsters from southern lands and seas;

The kids of many colors, hair straight and kinked and curled,

Are just the little people that make the little world.
