North
Element of earth, I call to the task,
Bestow strength and success that will surely last.
Hail and welcome!
East
Element of air, knowledge and wisdom I call,
Bless me with your gifts during the season of fall.
Hail and welcome!
South
Element of fire, I call, brighten up our days,
Bring illumination and passion in many ways.
Hail and welcome!
West
Element of water, come to this circle of mine,
Add love, peace, and intuition in this place and time.

God/dess Invocation:
The autumn equinox is the harvest of fruits and grains. We call on Dionysus of the Vine, and on Demeter, the goddess of the grain. Lord and Lady of the harvest and the bountiful earth, bless us during this enchanting autumn season. At the Autumnal Equinox, a time of equal light and dark hours occur. Help us to find the same balance and harmony within ourselves. Hail and welcome!
Prayer:
May the Great Ones of the Universe
Cleanse and strengthen our minds,
Tune our hearts in accord with Theirs,
Manifest Their power and glory in our lives,
Surround and inspire our actions with Their grace, and
Shield us from all pettiness,
Because we are worthy of Their love.
Talking Stick/Ritual Intent
Ritual of Balance: With Scales, Salt, Cornmeal
Which parts of your life this season have you harvested and are now finished with ? (Salt) What will you replace this harvested part with? (Cornmeal) Both are necessary to maintain a balance. Please share your wisdoms with us as we each balance the scales on the altar.
Thank God/dess:
We thank Demeter and Dionysus for their time and care,
We close this ritual now by earth, water, fire, and air.
