How is the Web doing??
Several people said that we are all doing a fantastic job. Dorothy said she needs the Membership Services Committee to do more, to fulfill its mission. We need to address mailings, and who sends them. Keeping mailing lists current, forming a sunshine club to recognize birthdays, etc., Web I.D. cards, running the library, creating “helping hands” resource services, and building intentional community.
Those present responded with suggestions: quarterly family meetings, needing a birthday calendar, and the celebration of monthly birthdays at rituals. Dorothy and Mary have said they will be in charge of birthday calendars.
Projects:
Holistic Health Fair, Saturday, April 5th 2008, Saint Michael’s School, Newark, N.Y., table fee $30.00 to be shared by Web and Bev. Attending will be: Bev, Tom, Mary, Kim?, Ken?, K.J.?(needs a ride). We will sell raffle tickets for the spirit painting as well as provide healing. We will put out a donation jar.
Mystic Faire, Lyons Community Center, 1:30-5:00p.m. on the following dates:
1/19/08, 4/19/08, 7/19/08, 10/11/08.
Annual Dinner will be at the Wolcott Village Restaurant, 3:00p.m., on 11/9/08. Fundraising will include sale/raffle/auction of cloaks made by Michelle, Diane and Kim.
Summerfest this year will be replaced by Picnic at the Privitera’s June 28th 2008, and brunch at the Web on June 29th 2008. Out of town Web members are invited to stay at the Web for the weekend. This is not a fundraising event, and the public is not invited.
Web Community Gardens will be at Priviteras (vegetable garden, and kids garden), and Moons (herb garden). Coordinators are Tom, Crystal, Beth, and Mary.
Healing Days are the third Monday of each month, beginning at 1:00 p.m., by appointment. January meditation will be on removing fears.
Donation will be made to the Wayne County Humane Society in the amount of $100.00 dollars, for the “Charlie Fund” for ill or injured animals, pending board approval, in the memory of Suzanne Terry.
Fundraising ideas were discussed, pending board approval. This included a spirit painting donated by Sue Voidets, will be raffled off until April 19th 2008. Two tickets for $5.00, 5 for $10.00. On sale at The Web, on line, www.webpathcenter.com , The hairport in Newark, and at both Mystic Faires. Dorothy will ask Marie about selling them through her website.
Classes:
Shamanic Drumming/Journeying is held the second and fourth Sunday of each month at the Web from 2-4:00 p.m. All levels of experience are welcome. Bring with you a notebook, and a drum/rattle if you have one.
African Hand Drumming 101 Classes will be held the second and fourth Sunday of each month at the Web from 11-1:00 p.m. Bring with you your drum if available. Anemone will be teaching. If you will be staying for Shamanism at 2:00, please bring a dish to pass for potluck lunch.
Wicca I will be held on two weekends, February 22-24 2008, and March 7-9 2008.
Tarot I will be held on April 26th and 27th.
Shamanic Intensive II will be held on September 13th and 14th.
Wicca II will be held on three weekends, October 3-5, 17-19, and October 31st –November 2nd.
