A-MAZING TAROT INTENSIVE I: Tarot Decks, Majors, Minors, Suits and Numbers

The Web’s Introductory Tarot Course

A-Mazing Tarot Intensive I:  Tarot Decks, Majors, Minors, Suits and Numbers

April 26-27, 2008

Located at the Web 4030 Galen Rd. Clyde NY

So you always wondered what’s with this Tarot stuff?  How do people read the cards?  Or you’ve read them with the book but you just can’t let go of the script.  Or you struggle through a reading, wondering how anyone remembers what these cards mean?

Join us for an introductory intensive workshop in which you meet the persons in the Major Arcana, find yourself and family in the court cards, and get a clue about the numbered suits and their symbolic meanings.  We will challenge you to consider the ethics of Tarot reading, including when not to say what you see, and to learn the Celtic Spread.

All Web courses are offered at a cost of $5 materials fee as part of our spiritual gift to you.   In return, do the reading and preparation requested.   It is appropriate to honor your teachers or the Web as you are led.  We have our four legged brothers and sisters in residence (dogs or cats).  Always bring food to share for meal times and snacks.

We have as objectives:

1)       To introduce readers to their significator and tarot guide through a group meditation.

2)       To discuss the ethics of divinatory readings, practicing how to offer challenging news from the reading, and deciding when to withhold information.

3)       To clarify the difference between the Major and Minor Arcana so they become immediately recognizable to you in a reading.

4)       To find one’s self in the Major Arcana and one’s family in the Court Cards.

5)       To discover  the meaning of the cards based on their numbers& suits.

6)       To practice reading with both a 3-card spread and the Celtic Cross.

7)       To help students select a deck that works with them.

What to Choose, What to Choose

Tarot Decks:  Rider Waite, Herbal, Celtic, Ancestors, and more!

  • Bring your own favorites and be prepared to show them off.  Tell us why you like them.  If you have not found a favorite or never held a deck, this is an opportunity to explore them all!  A display will be available all weekend.  Buy through the Web and help us out!
